A Surprise on the Porch
I have a little bit of space here that I get to call my own. While it’s not enormous, it’s mine and I love it. The way it’s built, there’s a garage underneath my place and the living space is above. As a result, I have a little patio where I keep my grill (that I need to use really soon) and when summer comes, I usually have flowers planted.
Right now, I’ve got nothing out there except the furniture or so I thought.
We hung these candles last summer when my parents came to visit… but they were seriously meant to be decorative candle holders. I never expected they’d turn into a nest.
Now here’s the best part. Since I’ve found it, I’ve become obsessed with it. There’s a little bird couple that keeps coming back to the nest… the colorful one (the male) sits on the opposite candle and the brown bird sits on the nest warming the eggs.
I feel like I’m invading on their time… and I truly know they hate me. When they see me, they get all freaked out. The candle holders are hung high so I can’t see inside, and I have no intention of touching the eggs. I just want to see it all happening. For example, I didn’t know that birds coupled up like that. I love it.
A New Page
I finally updated the “Necessities” page on my blog. I had intended to post some of my favorite things on this page, and I finally did. These are some of the tools I’ve used to lose weight, and frankly some of my favorite things… Check it out!
New Snacks
I’ve also found two new snacks that I keep eating. These might be two for you to try… for real.
Skinny Cow Ice Cream is one of my favorite treats. For 150 calories, I can eat an ice cream cone with fudge inside?? Ok!!! I found this brand-new flavor (a limited time only flavor) that is SO delicious!
It reminds me of a hot fudge sundae, but you also get the crunchy cone for less than 150 calories! Try these!
On the even healthier side, I’ve been eating a lot of apples these days. I just love them, especially those honeycrisps. I finally decided to try the apple + peanut butter combo. How delicious are these two together????
Now, it’s not regular PB. You guys should know this by now… I can’t keep real peanut butter on hand. But, PB2 is a lifesaver. You can make it with a little extra peanut butter which makes it extra dippy. Another must-have snack!
Have a great Friday, folks!!! We’ve earned it!
