It’s that time of year again.. time to set my goals for the year! I’m keeping my list fairly simple this year… and I’m certain that it’s going to be an awesome year!

Achieve my Weight Loss Goal
Over the past week, I’ve shared that I’m starting the year a few pounds heavier than I’ve been in years past. My goal is to lose those extra pounds and to understand how maintenance needs to work for me.
I’ve played around with maintenance in 2013, but in the end, my method didn’t serve me well. In 2014, I plan to master this… perhaps the most underestimated part of weight loss.
Make a Commitment to Strength Training
In my workout regime, I’ve neglected strength training for some time. Intermittently, I return to weights… and then I quickly go back to cardio. I need to challenge my body this year in new ways physically. I crave a STRONGER body, and I know that weight lifting and resistance training is going to help me get there.
I’d like to build a strength training regime in the new year that is one that I’m going to stick to. I’ll be working with some of my trainer friends to achieve this goal… stay tuned!
Take Better Care of My Skin (and Gums)
This goal is a REPEAT from 2013… and one that, well… I didn’t do very well at. While I got a few extra facials and flossed more than 2012, this goal is back on the board for 2013.
It’s day one, and I’m doing pretty good… but the trick will be to make this an every day/consistent practice.
Be Creative
Whether I’m knitting or painting, I always find myself more focused, more happy, and less stressed when I allow the arts into my life. In 2014, I plan to dedicate time each month to getting creative… and likely leaning on Pinterest for ideas and inspiration! How great is that site after all??
Travel Well
This goal is an easy one for me… but one that I want to make sure that I have on my agenda. Right now, I only have ONE trip on my calendar for 2014 (a June trip to Savannah for Fitbloggin), but I’m going to need a few more getaways to make this year a great one!
Grow NTTC in the New Year
I’m always working on making my little place on the internet a little bit better. I feel like it’s come a LONG way in the past year, and I’ll be looking to make more improvements in the new year. I’ll also be asking for your feedback later this month… stay tuned!!
