I love being part of the Denver blogging community. We live in a city full of outdoors adventures and many healthy brands have headquarters in Colorado. I also feel very lucky that I have an opportunity to participate in the Sprouts blogger program. Not only is Sprouts my go-to grocery store (there are TWO within 5 minutes of my house!), but the monthly Sprouts blogger events have become some of my favorites.
When Sprouts shared an invitation to join them for an evening with my favorite local bloggers and a Boulder-based chocolate company, I RSVP’ed right away. Despite my busy travel schedule, I was home for the week… and what’s better than a night with friends learning about Colorado chocolate??
Good Day Chocolate hosted us at their Boulder Pearl Street location, and I was thrilled to learn about this new brand and to sample their products. For years, I’ve taken supplements each night before I go to bed, and I’m always evaluating whether I need to add or subtract vitamins from my routine. With that, the introduction to Good Day Chocolates was incredibly timely!
Good Day Chocolates are made from all natural, non-gmo, and pharmaceutical grade nutraceuticals and mixed them with premium fair trade dark and milk chocolate combinations. The chocolates also feature a light candy coating using organic non-gmo sugar and fruit and vegetable concentrates for color.
Now, they don’t call their products “Chocolates with Benefits” for nothing! Here’s the flavors they produce and how they help:
- Calm: Take the Edge Off of Life
- Probiotic: Promote Strong Digestive Health
- Turmeric: Cool Tired Muscles and Lessen Aches and Pains
- Sleep: Encourages Happy Sleep and Sweet Dreams
- Energy: An Energy Boost that’s Easy to Control and Delicious to Eat
When we arrived at the event in Boulder, we quickly met the founders Andy and Simeon and learned all about how their business became a reality. Passionate about science and health, the team dedicated themselves to finding a way to combine chocolate and supplements in a way that they were not only consumable, but also delicious.
True story: I likely overdid it on supplements the night of the event – whoops! Not only did we have a chance to sample the product, but we also had the opportunity to make them. My very first time mixing probiotics with chocolate before – – and it was delicious!
While the manufacturing process has evolved over time, the team at Good Day gave us an opportunity to make their probiotic chocolate supplements using their original molds.
After we all took a turn using syringes to pipe the chocolate into the molds, I was volunteered to combine the two molds to create our chocolates.
You guys, this is so much harder than it looks! While I think my chocolates looked “perfect”, in reality… the chocolates I made were incredibly messy. As a saving grace, they tasted incredible after they were cooled in the refrigerator despite how they looked. Phew!
Good news for all of us, you can purchase any of the Good Day Chocolates at your local Sprouts stores, and I have no responsibility in making them look beautiful. I’ll leave that to the professional chocolatiers moving forward…
Such a fun night with Sprouts and Good Day Chocolates! You’ll find these chocolates at the check-out, and also in the vitamin section. Please let me know what you think when you try them. I have definitely become a raving fan!
