BEFORE I can even begin to focus on the amazing weigh-in I had this weekend, we must first observe a moment of silence for the most momentous of moments that just took place.
The Salted Caramel Mocha has Returned!!!
It’s been almost a year… yeah, they made me a makeshift one into January, but it lacked the salt. Without the salt, it’s just a sticky hot mess of a latte. The real deal Holyfield has returned.
Now, I know that last year you may have gotten a little exhausted by my droning on and on about this drink… but don’t fret, it’s definitely going to happen again this year!!!!!!! I freakin’ love this latte. Last year’s rants can be found here:
Example: Right now, I’m at S’bucks listening to Adele and doing some chair dancing to Rolling in the Deep. Normally, there would not be chairdancing… but with an SCM in hand, it’s ON!
Let’s recap the NTTC way to drink this bad boy. It’ll cost you about 160 calories and worth every last one of them!
Tall, Nonfat Milk
2 pumps toffee nut
1 pump skinny mocha
(yes to caramel and salt)
I’m getting down to my final sips of my first cup, and I’m already excited for tomorrow!!!
Ok, let’s talk about this weekend’s weigh-in! Thank you to all of you who left kind comments for the girl with the witch hair who went on camera for the first time on Friday. It’s a little intimidating doing a vlog, but I can see that you guys are fans… so maybe I’ll sprinkle a few more of them in the ol’ blog in future months.
About the Weigh-In
I felt so good going into my weigh-in. I had done EVERYTHING I could do to be on track. Yes, I had to eat out on Thursday (it was unavoidable as I was at the Colorado State Fair), but that’s LIFE… I worked out consistently. I made great choices.
Last week’s salt incident would not be repeated. I made sure of that.
So, Saturday morning, I got up and went to Jenny Craig. Now, unlike most weeks, my JCC Amalia wasn’t there!!! OMG… really?? She had called me earlier in the week to advise she’d been shipped to Aurora for Saturday to help another location (boo hiss). I don’t cheat on my Amalia, so I agreed to just weigh and let her know the results.
So… I got there on Saturday morning and got on the scale alone…
This Week’s Loss: -3.2 lbs
Total Weight Loss: -83.2 lbs
It was a little bit of a bummer to be weighing solo, to be honest with you. Especially on a day when I had such good news and a day when I was so proud of myself. Looking back, it was exactly as it should be. I am FULLY responsible for that weigh in. I owned it. I chose what I ate. I chose to take the extra time at the gym. The only person who needed to see it was me, and I was beaming like Missy Franklin.
It was like the spell had been broken, and guess what… I totally did it. There’s a sense of accomplishment that comes with tackling these final pounds that’s really hard to describe. They are really the most challenging of the 91, in my opinion.
This week, I was victorious. Completely. I’m officially on the final stretch. We’ve got -7.8 lbs to go, folks. Let’s do this!
