Now, I’ve been working out a lot this week… actually, I’ve been six times in the past seven days (including a double-header on Saturday.) I haven’t been working out LONG, but I’ve been working out.
Tonight, for example, I wasn’t 100% feeling it, but I did strength training for about 30 minutes. Works for me!
I’ll also tell you that there is a VERY EXCITING GIVEAWAY HAPPENING ON THE LITTLE BLOG THAT COULD ON FRIDAY. Do stop back to NTTC on Friday and check it out… I’ll give you a hint: many of you ask me questions about this product ALL THE TIME and now you can get your own for free. Stay tuned!!!
Since it was Workout Wednesday… so I thought I should tell you a LITTLE bit about working out. But, now… I really want to talk about Vegas!
To describe myself as being excited about this trip really wouldn’t be strong enough language. Ecstatic. Anticipatory. Ready. Can I just go NOW???
Oh… Angela, thank you for giving me a reason to escape the 100 degree Denver weather in lieu of the 107 degree desert heat. This is my first trip to Vegas in the summer. I’m excited to see how it’s different. I have a funny feeling there will be more taxi rides than lengthy walks down the strip. A girl can’t melt, ya know?
We’re staying at the GORGEOUS Cosmopolitan hotel and casino in Vegas. I’m a Marriott girl, so you can imagine my excitement when I found this beautiful property had opened on the strip several years ago… and that I could stay there for free on the strip using a tiny fraction my gazillion points.

Think “Up in the Air”… I used to stay in hotels over 100 nights a year until very recently. It’s nice to be able to use some of these points!
We leave for Vegas on Friday afternoon… and shortly after I arrive, so will my friend Jaede. I think the last time I saw her was in October when she came to Colorado. That’s too darn long! We talk all the time so, it doesn’t feel that way… but we really should do better than that next time! Too LONG!
And then, we meet up with the bride later in the evening for some wedding fun… I just realized I haven’t seen her since this time last year too! Holy crap… thanks for getting us together (show!) At least we have a second visit already scheduled in September… phew!

Our last cab ride took us up to Red Rocks, but our next one will be taking us to somewhere fabulous in Las Vegas…
While I haven’t yet started packing, I’ve been shopping for a few weeks. I’ve got my bridesmaid’s dress, I’ve got the jewelry. I’ve even got some fun shoes to wear that night and a sparkly red pedicure (think ruby slippers.)
Just about everything is done… except for my dry run of my hair. Eeks. I don’t often cheap out, but I didn’t feel like paying $80 for a french twist, so I’m going to do my own hair (as is everyone else.)
So, tonight, I finally took a stab at what the ol’ hair will look like. Imagine something like this…

Imagine the rest of the hair curly… but the pinned up look being like this. Not bad if I say so myself!
Now, recreating it in Vegas will be my challenge, but I think I’ve got this. Phew!
One last thing I need for this trip to Vegas… any recommendations you have for fun things to do?? Meals are planned, so I don’t need restaurants. I just need fun ideas. What do you LOVE to do when you’re in Vegas?
[…] After prepping for Vegas throughout June, I decided that I declared this month to be “No Shop July.” My goal was to shop less this month and to just wear what I had in my closet. I also thought that it would be money “well saved” if I saved a little extra this month?… especially after an expensive trip to Las Vegas in June. […]
