Tomorrow’s Monday again, and you know what that means. It’s time for FMM! Books have been the topic of FMM before, and a topic I’m always willing to discuss! Let’s talk books!
If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!
FMM: Bookworms (Revisited)
How often do you read for pleasure? I almost always have a book that I am working on reading… sometimes even two. Work keeps me pretty busy, as does blogging… but I always try to find time to be reading something!
Are you currently reading a book? If so, which one? This weekend, I started reading The Blue Bistro by Elin Hilderbrand. Like Hilderbrand’s other novels, I was almost immediately sucked into this novel and instantly fell in love with her characters.
If you haven’t tried her books yet, I definitely recommend Silver Girl and The Island (and likely Blue Bistro!)
Do you subscribe to any magazines and/or newspapers? If so, which ones? I subscribe to way too many magazines. I currently receive: Cooking Light, Fitness, Real Simple, and Marie Claire (which I randomly get for free?)
Do you prefer reading traditional books or using an e-reader? Hands down, I’m an e-reader fan. I got a Nook last year for Christmas and it remains my favorite way to read. When I’m on the road, I’ll read on my iPad, but I find the backlighting to be a little intense.
How often do you go to the bookstore? I used to go quite often, but now I mostly purchase eBooks. I will stop into Barnes and Noble when I have time to kill… have a latte and browse their shelves.
Do you read at the gym? I do! I’ll take my magazines and read them while walking. Other times (like today), I increase the font on my Nook to (HUGE) and read while I’m on the Arc Trainer or Elliptical.
Have you ever been a member of a book club? No, but I’d really like to join one. Hmmm….
Do you wear glasses when you read? Nope!
Has anyone read the Hunger Games? I haven’t read them. I started the first one, and then got distracted. I may just head the movie route this time (which I never do.)
What is your favorite thing about reading? I love the escape it provides. I love soaking in a hot bath at the end of the weekend visiting with some fabulous characters. I may have done this tonight….
