March has been an interesting month for me. I’m starting to get some momentum on this journey I’m on and I’m so grateful for the outpour of support from y’all!
Sharing my change of program this month was a HUGE deal for me. After nearly 8 years working with Jenny Craig, the switch to Weight Watchers has caused a shift in my world and I feel re-energized as I pursue my weight loss goals this year.
There’s also something FREEING about the way you guys have embraced this change with me and continue to support me in light of this change.
Current Walking Adventures
I’ve been talking about my walks this month. I feel like I’ve posted the same pictures over and over again, but I’m just in love with getting outdoors. The weather this spring has been incredible in Colorado, and I’m hopeful it continues!
I’m super excited to see this area turn GREEN this spring!
I’ve had some pain in my left foot recently. I’m sure it’s my walks contributing to the issue, but I refuse to stop! On Saturday, I decided to get some professionals involved to help me choose a better sneaker. Looking at my everyday Adidas, they didn’t have much support… and seemed to be quite flat.
The staff at Dick’s helped me find these shoes…. and I’m super happy with them.
They’re BEYOND supportive compared to what I had been wearing previously, and the color is cute. So, I’m officially committed to working out now that I’ve invested…
Current Floral Arrangement #1
During one of my busiest days (Mondays are just like that), I heard my doorbell ring… and was floored to see my friend Brandi standing outside with a beautiful pot of lavender! She happened to be in the neighborhood, and just stopped by to surprise me! So so thoughtful! And, a fun surprise for Brandi… I was in my bathrobe still at around 1pm. The glamour tied to working from home…
I’m hoping to keep this lavender alive and plant it outside when it’s officially summer!
Current Wine Discovery
You guys, I found some lower calorie wine this month! For those of you on the Weight Watchers program, you know a few glasses of wine can quickly ruin your entire day (and absorb your day’s worth of points!)
Enter FitVine Wines: It’s got less sugar, fewer calories & carbs, and no additives. One glass equates to THREE SmartPoints, lower than any other wine I’ve found. I’ve tried the rosé and it’s delicious! They also have just about every other type of wine as well and a great store locator on their site!
I did something that I’ve NEVER done before. I took a STAY-CATION! Today, I’m finishing up ten glorious days of time off. I didn’t travel; I didn’t work.
I spent my days meditating, working out, visiting with friends, and even did a little organizing.
In my life, I’ve never taken time off just to take time off… until now. And, I loved every minute of it.
Current Floral Arrangement #2
During my week off, I came home to find a beautiful bouquet of flower at my front door. As a single girl who never gets flowers, so this was a HUGE surprise.
I opened the card to find out that it was from one of my employees. Seriously, mind blown. If you appreciate your leader, letting them know in some way (flowers definitely not necessary) can be really powerful. This gesture MADE MY WEEK. <3
Current Product Find
I tried my first lavash this month. Holy cow… it’s so so good. And, only 2 SP per serving for an ENORMOUS whole wheat Armenian flatbread.
I’ve been making these really beautiful wraps this month and can’t wait to see what else I can create. Find these at Trader Joe’s, y’all!
Current Podcast Obsession
I’ve listened to Taylor Strecker on Sirius XM for more than 10 years. She just recently launched her morning show in a live podcast format, and it’s INCREDIBLE. When I’m walking at the lake, THIS is what I’m listening to. If I’m laughing out loud, it’s because Taylor and her co-hosts are cracking me up.
If you have a commute, like to workout, or like to laugh, I HIGHLY recommend you try this podcast. It’s life-changing, girl… and we’re obvi best friends, so you’ll love her!
Current Workout Clothing Line
Have you guys run across JoyLab at Target yet? It’s an affordable line of workout clothes that is super stylish!
I was at Target this weekend. While I LOVED their new line, I also found some SUPER cute stuff on their clearance rack!
Current Bleisure Trips
The bulk of my travel for March was business-related, but I snuck a little bit of fun into most trips I went on! Example: I snuck over to Montelucia for a night (and a massage!) and I even spent an evening at Disney’s California Adventure when I was in Southern California! When at all possible, I really try to take advantage of fun personal moments on these trips. It’s not always possible, but it’s lovely when it works out.
Current Sensory Deprivation Experience
During my staycation, I scheduled a sensory deprivation float in Highlands Ranch, Colorado… and it was incredible! I’ve blogged before about my floating experience; however, I WON this floating experience after entering a giveaway on Instagram!
I loved the experience, the bright and vibrant location, and would definitely go back to Inngi Float Therapy. Check them out if you’re in Colorado, and please tell them I sent you.
Spring is SO beautiful, y’all… I cannot wait until it’s officially sprung at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I got a sneak peek at the hyacinths this week, and they were gorgeous (and deliciously fragrant!)
