So… it’s weird. I was only in San Francisco for four days, but I seriously feel like I could write about it for days, especially because there were so many beautiful things that we saw along the way.
Just the same, it’s over after this post today… and we’ll go back to normal. Talking about yoga, and healthy eating, and hiking adventures…. that is until I take my next trip, of course!
After we got back from Sonoma, Jess and I checked into the Marriott Marquis that would be our home for the next 20-ish hours. LOVED this room.
It had the most beautiful view… and gorgeous windows. From the room we had a chance to watch that fog roll in one more time before we left. LOVED that!
We ended up taking much needed post-wine tasting naps, and then headed out in the city to grab a bite to eat. The great thing about San Francisco is everyone has a recommendation for where to dine. So many great places to choose from! We ate VERY well this night: Parmesan Rosemary Tater Tots with Cranberry Jam (I die!) from Jamber, followed by the most amazing panzanella salads at Zero Zero.
Friday morning, we decided to hit Fisherman’s Wharf so that we could spend a little more time by the water before flying home to landlocked Colorado. Our first stop: Boudin’s for some Sourdough Bread!
With all good intention to get some sourdough bread, we ended up splitting a cheddar jalapeno bread instead. So delish and SPICY!
After tasting the bread, we decided to head over to the waterfront, and it was SO BEAUTIFUL! Here’s a peek of Fisherman’s Wharf… go there if you get a chance!
And, there were so many fun street performers along the way. It almost reminded me of Boulder… but with cleaner and more polished performers.
We picked up a few souvenirs and then headed to grab lunch and a few cocktails (since it was vacation!) Before we knew it, it was time to head to the airport…
Along the way, we talked our cab driver into taking the Crooked Street (Lombard) and got to see that before we left the city for good…
So, with that… I flew home, waving goodbye and leaving a tiny bit of my heart in San Francisco…
Have you been to Fisherman’s Wharf?
