Hello Giveaway!

It’s Wednesday night, and I just got back from the gym… seems like the PERFECT time for a giveaway!!!!

But before we get to the giveaway details… let me tell you about a little something I tried at Subway.

I could eat Subway every day (and sometimes I do)… but did you hear they had a new sub??  I went in there tonight to get a Veggie Delite (my standard sub.)  And, what to my wondering eyes should appear… but a sign with a brand-new Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich.

I wasn’t really sure what to put on it, but mine looked just like this.  No cheese, some lettuce and tomato, and lots of onions.

I looked up the stats AFTER I ate it, but was okay with what I saw.  For the 6″ sandwich with veggies (no cheese) and on honey oat, you’ll consume 380 calories.  It’s part of the Fit Fresh menu and is only here for a limited time.  I definitely recommend you try it if you get a chance… it’s really great.

When I was thinking about doing my next giveaway, I wanted to give you guys something that I know will help you achieve your weight loss goals, and something I really like.

Now, I’m not that creative… so, it might be something that you’ve seen before!

Weight Watchers Five Ingredient 15 Minute Recipes

These are my FAVORITE cookbooks, and the latest edition was released just a few weeks ago.  As with the winter edition, I bought one for you… and one for me.

The majority of the delicious recipes I try are from these cookbooks, and they’ve changed the way I cook!

    My dish is spaghetti sauce made from scratch! I am famous for it in my family. Whenever I need to make something, this is what people ask for! I don’t use any oil or fat, except what little comes off the sausage and I mix it with all my secret ingredients to make it a fantastic sauce!!!

    I also love Subway and just had it last night! My go to sub is the chicken breast with LOADS of veggies! YUM!! At home my all time favorite dish to make would be fajitas. So easy to volumize with veggies! And instead of sour cream I dress it up with Jennie Craig Ranch Dressing! I love those packets and always have some in my purse.

    Looks like I have to make a trip to Subway today.

    My “go to” dish is fish tacos. I found the recipe in a Cooking Light issue several years ago. It is delish, quick AND easy!

    I LOVE SUBWAY! I keep telling all my friends they really need to get me an endorsement deal and I will be the female “Jared”!

    My “go to dish” is my crockpot chicken, I cook this every week in order to have all my lean chicken prepared ahead and available to make lots of dishes with it.

      Girl.. we could both be Jared, trust me. I eat there a LOT. I often think I deserve free sandwiches from time to time, or at least a commercial spot! We could tag team it!

    I really need to try other things at Subway besides the turkey sub! The best thing I make is grilled chicken & roasted broccoli! Boring…I know! :)

    Hi Kelly! So, I kind of have two go-to dishes.
    The first is enchiladas verdes con pollo – which I first made back in highschool after getting a Mexican cookbook. My folks always asked me to make it and still do!
    My newer go-to is a crockpot ratatouille. YUM! I saute onions and garlic and all kinda spices in a little olive oil. Dump this in a crockpot with a chopped eggplant, 2 each chopped zucchini and yellow squash, can of chopped tomatoes and a whole lotta chicken broth. If I have one, I throw a parmesan cheese rind (you can actually buy rinds at Whole Foods in their cheese section) for flavor. Cook for a long time and it turns into a delicious stew thingie, which the hubs and I eat over quinoa. Very filling and delish and.. healthy! :)

    Hi! I love your blog it is my favorite and is really keeping me motivated with how honest your are! I new at the cooking thing but trying hard I am known for my peanut butter cupcakes they are cupcakes stuffed with peanut butter balls amazing!!! Keep up the great work you look amazing!!!

  9. Subway is always a great option! It’s nice to know that sandwich is under 400 calories.

    What a great give away. I was known for my selection of home baked cookies at christmastime, but alas no more. I can’t whip up batches of different cookies without sampling a bunch of them!! Would love to try some of the recipe’s in this book!

    Hi There! I found you on Jenny Craig site, and started reading your blog. You are so inspirational. My son and I look forward to trying your latest recipes. Who knew you could do so much with those little wedges of soft cheese? I guess that’s my best tip… anything tastes better with a little cheese melted in/on!
    We try to stick with the Jenny frozen meals, but are always excited to see what kinds of side dishes you can come up with. You also have great volumizing ideas.

    Hello Kelly!

    I’m famous for my “Flan de Queso” which is a Puertorrican or Hispanic custard made with milk and cream cheese…Super DELICIOSO! And my second famous dish is my Lasagna. It’s very cheesy. I overall can make really good Italian dishes.

    Of course I am famous for my authentic Italian dishes. Thanks to NTTC I have been inspired to find healthy alternatives to some of the calorie packed ingredients. :-) I also know someone who loves my 40 Clove Chicken! ;-)

    Hi Kelly! I love your Blog, I’ve been reading it since you first started it- I was also on Jenny Craig (at the time) and was looking for someone to relate to on the program. Unfortunately you’ve done MUCH better on your journey than I have on mine. But anyways- I have a couple signature dishes but one I make is a lightened up version of beef stroganoff that I make with ground turkey and serve over rice. It’s easy to make healthy substitutions once you set your mind to it.

    Hi Kelly! I’m a big fan of your blog and I also found you through JC! I’m afraid my “known for” dishes are not too healthy…Fudge and cookies at Christmas, I make a mean biscuits and sausage gravy, and a heavily laden with meat spaghetti sauce. Although not super low calorie, I do make a very good (and spicy!) chili that isn’t too sinful! Thanks for your constant inspiration!

    my dish is a cheese dip. you layer the bottom of the platter with cream cheese then put garlic salt on top and then sprinkle shredded cheese on top to cover and then add more garlic salt to top and bake in oven for about thirty minutes. perfecto.

    My go-to dish is vegetarian nachos! Blue corn chips are stacked high and baked with re-fried black beans, corn, green chile, black olives, roasted red peppers and–yes, please–Mexican cheeses! Served with guacamole and sour cream, there never seems to be enough!

    I am known for my homemade chicken soup, which is actually my Grandmother’s recipe, and we all have been making it for years. It is delish.     Don’t have a go-to dish that I cook…I have a go-to Subway sandwich though! BLT (only two slices of bacon) on Italian (no HFCS), pepper jack, toasted with all of the veggies and peppers, a splash of vinegar…7 points +!
