Goodbye, May! If you’re May in Colorado… I bid you farewell and kindly ask that you take all that crappy rain and all those clouds with you. This is not how we like to do May in Colorado.
I’ll forgive you if June is as gorgeous as I’ve hoped it to be!
It’s changing. I don’t really know what’s happening, but it’s GOOD and it’s TRUE.
In some weird way, I feel like I am settling into who I am and it feels great. I wonder if you guys notice through what I’m sharing lately.
I absolutely love this lipgloss from Aveda. It has a random flavor to it likely from natural anise flavors, and it’s beautiful over the palest and the brightest of lipsticks. The gloss I have is the Amaranthe one. Try it!
So far, I love Rachel’s philosophy on life, and I loved this line I spotted in the introduction.
[pinterest]Now, that’s food for thought… and so freakin true!
Current Food Obsession:
Roasting vegetables. Yes, I know that’s not new based upon this, this, and this, but I’m so loving roasting up a load of veggies on Sunday nights and then eating them throughout the week. PS… they’re not lasting long.
Current faves are green beans and brussels sprouts. But, I’ll certainly add this week’s sweet potatoes to the list! OMG! So delicious!
Current Fashion Finds:
Right now, I’m loving all the boho-inspired looks that are out in stores. Flowy shirts, long prairie skirts, bohemian chill clothes that are gauzy and fabulous.
This dress from H&M as an example… and Target has a ton of stuff too. I’m loving it all!
Current Creative Food Order:
I’ve said for a long time that I’m VERY Sally Albright (a la When Harry Met Sally) but I think I beat Sally at her game when I was in Napa earlier in the month.
How about Veggie Eggs Benedict – No Eggs, Hollandaise on the side. So… what makes this one crazy is that Eggs Benedict is all about the eggs, unless you’re me. 🙂 It was REALLY good! Grilled tomato, avocado, sautéed spinach on an english muffin, and with so much of their homemade house salsa. It may become my new brunch food! Thanks, Omelette Express!
I went to see The Age of Adaline over the holiday weekend. A sappy romantic, I cannot even express how much I loved it!!
Blake Lively is the most beautiful creature. Such a classic beauty!! And, I totally loved her lumber-sexual leading man… Rawr
June is going to be a doozy, in the best possible way.
My niece is coming to visit me, Jodi’s Race is just around the corner, I’ve got cooking classes and theater tickets, and Fitbloggin will be finishing the month of (right here in Denver!) I’ve also got some work fun ahead with Rockstar and big projects… fastening the seat belt now.
Current Beauty Trick:
Curling my hair. You guys have been so complimentary of how I curl my hair.
I’m committing to doing a tutorial next month (or sooner!) on how to get these crazy curls of mine. Let me assure you, it’s easy…
I want to see Taylor Swift in Denver in the fall. Yes, I am in my 30s… but I heard she is awesome in concert, and I’m thinking I may look at tickets. They’re going to be $$, but may be worth it.
Current Nail Color:
I’m all about greens this month. This week, I’m wearing Turquoise and Caicos and apparently wearing all things green so I can match. I just love the mint polish look.
Current Go-To Snack:
CocoLite with Laughing Cow Cheese. Holy wow… these 16-calorie crisps are AMAZING!
I spotted them at Target in the popcorn aisle. SO good! I’ve tried the multigrain and maui onion, and both make me smile. Also phenomenal with a schmear of PB2.
Why didn’t I buy this hat? I just love it… tried it on at Coppola Winery, wore it around the gift shop, and then decided I couldn’t buy it… Why??
I may or may not be in communication with them right now to buy it… hoping they still have it!
