I had a chance to meet (and see again) so many wonderful bloggers. I am VERY excited to begin reading new posts from these men and women and to gain inspiration from all of their beautiful stories!
Lauren from Oatmeal After Spinning
Wait… you know her already, don’t you!? Lauren was my partner-in-crime at Fitbloggin this year, and the only person I walked in knowing well. I got to dine with Lauren and her husband Greg (my new BFF) each night at some of the most amazing resturants in Portland – – So fun! Lauren blogs about clean eating, her healthy lifestyle, and working out. She is a Silk blogger and a recent transplant to Colorado, and can be found hiking in the Colorado mountains most days. Love this lady!
Dani from Run Daniella Run
Dani and I met the first night at the meet and greet reception, and we met up quite a few times during the conference touching base on sessions we’d attended and comparing notes. She also braved the food trucks with me! Dani has a passion for running and has the most adorable 4 year old twins. Stop by her blog: You’re going to love her as much as I do!
Dani (Fit Duck), Dominique, and Monica (Run Bang Run)
These ladies were roommates, and I instantly connected with them. All incredibly warm and going through a similar weight loss journey to mine. We met after a session where the words we shared were just SO CLOSE TO HOME. These ladies… well, they’re just “my people” and they get me. LOVE THAT!
Brooke from Brooke Not on a Diet
How fabulous is this one? I’m hoping you’re already following her story, but if you’re not, Brooke has lost more than 170 lbs on Weight Watchers and has an amazingly inspiring story. She just hit Lifetime and couldn’t be more lovely. So glad I got a chance to meet her!
Emily from Skinny Emmie
I know I’ve mentioned my favorite fashionista Emily here on NTTC before, and her blog has a spot on my Blog Love page. She and I actually got to chat a bit this year which was just awesome, and she led one of the sessions that touched me the most. Stop by her blog, I love the honesty of what she writes; Emily shares with grace the challenges of weight loss and life. Highly relatable… and girl can accessorize like a champ! LOVE!
There were SO MANY more that I met… and truly, I didn’t take enough pictures. Here’s a few of them…
Special thanks to everyone I met this year, and knowing I’ve missed many, here’s a few extra thank yous: To Martinus who skipped out on sessions to share a cocktail with me, to Alan who led the way to the food trucks, to Sam and Sue for dancing with me and helping me get my sweat on, to Brandi for being that bubbly AWESOME presence once again this year, to Kenlie who always brings such fantastic energy and authenticity to the conference, to Mariana who changed clothes as much as I did, to Alicia who rocked those red pants in the fashion show that I’m still thinking about, to Alyssa for being her and being my kindred spirit! And lastly but most certainly not least, to Roni for bringing everyone together in the most beautifully organized way. xoxo
** Note: As I am wrapping up this post, my iTunes library just shuffled to this song “For Good” from Wicked. How appropriate… as I know that I have truly “been changed for the better” as a result of so many I met last weekend.
If you are a blogger who writes in the weight loss/healthy living space, I can’t encourage you enough to join us next year (in Austin or Nashville, still TBD!) You will (hands down) meet the most incredible and inspiring people… and be motivated beyond compare. And, let me assure you… changed for the better.
