I adore the weekends. That’s certainly not new news, but it seems like around every corner there was something new this weekend…
New Centre, New Consultant
As I mentioned last week, I scheduled an appointment at Jenny for my first consultation in months. I’ve moved to a new centre in Lakewood, Colorado… and am working with a brand-new consultant.
When I called to schedule an appointment, the centre director suggested I meet with Candace, and I’m glad she did. Candace is fairly new to Jenny and super sweet. I’m excited to start working with her on those last 14 lbs.
Yes, I said 14… I’m up 2 lbs since my last weigh in. This was NO surprise to me considering I’d eaten Gooey Butter Cookies and Gooey Butter Cake the week before, and I went to an Italian restaurant for dinner on Friday night.
With 14 lbs to go, I’ve got a NEW ATTITUDE about getting there. I’m focused on it, and I feel good about the direction I’m heading.
New Post-Weigh In Tradition
Not because they are new, but because they are my favorite… I got the pink ones. 🙂
New Snacks
I picked up a few new snacks this weekend to try.. including these guys:

New Red Dress
In just about a month, my dear friend Natalie is getting MARRIED! I’m so excited to see her in Kansas City for her big day… but I needed something to wear to her special event. And… I need something for the rehearsal dinner and big day itself.
If you haven’t heard, I’ll be greeting guests at the wedding and offering them programs. Yep, I’ve got a part in the shindig, yet still retired from bridesmaidom.
I think I’m going to dig in my closet for rehearsal dinner wear, but I found this cute tomato red dress at TJ Maxx on Saturday that’s going to be my dress for the wedding.
I still need accessories, but I’m excited to have my dress and shoes picked out! I’m thinking a cute cuff and maybe something sparkly in my hair. I think I’m going to carry a bag that I inherited from my stylish Grandma. I’ve been looking for a reason to carry it, and I think we’ve found it!
I also found a few pairs of shoes (and I’m finally purging the worn out ones they replace.)
New Container
As I was prepping my snacks for the week, I had a chance to use a new salad dressing container I ordered from Pampered Chef. LaDawn has this container and I got a chance to check it out during our Easter dinner.

I made a batch of my favorite vinaigrette in it today… and will plan on sharing the recipe with you guys soon. The best part of the container is that little stir inside that helps you mix the flavors back up again! It also has recipes on the side of the jar that you can use to make different dressing flavors… can’t wait to try them all!
New House for a New-to-Colorado Blogger!
By now, you’ve probably heard that Lauren from Oatmeal after Spinning is MOVING TO COLORADO!!!! I had a chance to see her late last week… and to see her NEW HOUSE with her for the first time! Since it was she and I looking at it, I affectionately call it “Our House.”
I’m so excited for Lauren to arrive later in the month, and stay tuned for lots of NEW ADVENTURES with Lauren and Kelly… I see lots of fun happening this Colorado summer!
