Now that the Simple Inspirations recipe contest is in full swing, it’s got me reminiscing of all of the recipes I’ve made in the past from my Jenny Craig meals.
After a quick scroll through the early days of NTTC, I found that my early recipes just aren’t as pretty as the recipes that have come more recently. While the flavors are delicious, the pictures definitely don’t do them justice, including the original post of this Turkey Chili.
I’m also fully recommitted to the Jenny Craig program (and down -3.9 lbs. in the first week!) so what better time to try to pretty up my recipe collection!
This chili did not disappoint… such an old fave, and I definitely have some ideas on how to make a spicier version of this chili in the future. Spoiler Alert: you’re going to love that one too.
Turkey Burger Chili
Serves 1
INGREDIENTS
1 can fire-roasted tomatoes
2-3 tsp. Penzey’s Chili 9000 Seasoning or your favorite chili powder
1 Tbsp. minced shallot
1/4 cup sliced onions
1/4 cup diced red pepper
salt and pepper to taste
dash of cayenne pepper
cooking spray
