Another month bites the dust, and it’s time for everyone’s favorite random post of the month full of all my current loves… Enjoy!
CURRENT GROCERY FIND #1:
I spotted these awesome veggies at Whole Foods over the weekend. Denver peeps – It was at the Cherry Creek location.
While spiralizing is incredibly easy to do, so is buying a batch of zoodles and getting a quick start on dinner. If you haven’t purchased a spiralizer yet, check your local Whole Foods to try out the concept before you make purchase. Note: I did a tour of Whole Foods last year and was amazed at how accommodating the stores are. If you don’t see them on the shelf at your Whole Foods, ask for them and I bet they can create a batch for you.
CURRENT GROCERY FIND #2:
Have you seen these Kale Sprouts at Trader Joe’s? Sometimes you can find them marketed as Kalettes.. and they’re amazing! I roasted my first batch… 10 minutes at 425 degrees, drizzled with a little balsamic vinegar. Yum!!
CURRENT BODY SCRUB:
I purchased this beautifully whipped sugar scrub during my trip to Virginia over Christmas, and I want to make sure y’all know about it. It doesn’t get much cuter than Ladyburg in Fredericksburg, VA.
I don’t think it could possibly smell better anywhere than in their cute little shop. The scent I fell in love with is called “Bite Me” and it smells so delicious! I also bought a bubble bar in their “Monkey Farts” scent… I can’t wait to try it! In the meantime, check out their site here.
CURRENT MEAL PLANNER:
Over the past few months, I’ve been working hard to plan out my meals every week. When I deviate from meal planning, my world seems to get a little wonky.
That being said, I want to introduce you to Florence and June. Designed by the lovely Ashley over at Coffee Cake and Cardio, she and her business partner have created the most lovely meal planner/organizer templates. Check out her full Etsy store here.
CURRENT GO-TO SNACK:
There’s a few new yogurt pops in town. Have you heard about Yasso‘s new flavors??
The cookie dough treats (at 100 calories per pop!) are my absolute favorite. Try them… let me know what you think!
I’m working on a new baby blanket for my friend Jaede (who is expecting baby #2 in July!)… and I spent a super-cool Saturday night getting it started. And, to make things even awesomer, I misread the pattern, which means that the three hours I put in have to be ripped out.
So, I’m back to square one… my knitting friends, any suggestions for a quick-knit baby blanket? As my friend Melanie says, quick knit and baby blankets don’t really fit into the same sentence..
CURRENT MUST-READ BLOG:
My friend Melanie launched her blog last week. She’s a Colorado girl like me and loves to spend time out in the beautiful great outdoors. She follows a paleo diet and cooks the most delicious meals… her story is one you’re going to want to follow!
Here’s a few ways to follow Melanie: BlogLovin, Facebook, Instagram
CURRENT VACATION ON MY CALENDAR:
Have I mentioned that I’m going to be jetting off to Sonoma in May? I am BEYOND excited.
I’ve mentioned before that I need a getaway, and this trip with the ladies is just what the doctor ordered. I fell in love with Northern California last time I was there, and I’m looking forward to being back in Wine Country.
CURRENT MASCARA FIND:
Do you guys read The Small Things Blog? I love following Kate and her many beauty tips. I’ve picked up so many beauty secrets from her, and she introduced me to this mascara.
It is designed specifically for the bottom lashes… a place where I always seem to make a mess. This tiny wand makes for easy application and makes your lower lashes super long…
I finished The Girl on the Train this week… and honestly, I don’t get it.
Quite the departure from my favorite book from last month It Was Me All Along, this book is completely different. And, well… horrible. I kept hoping it would get better, but it didn’t. The characters are terrible people… living miserable lives… and being abusive to themselves and others. It is all that I read this month… and definitely not the right energy for me to be investing in.
Moving into April, I need a book full of sunshine and rainbows. Suggestions welcome!!
I feel like I do it all the time, but I never get rid of enough stuff…
I need to clean out my closet!! It’s time to get rid of the stuff I’m not wearing once and for all to, of course, make room for pretty spring pieces. I’m writing this here and plan to report back to you guys next month about how it went.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge Kelly Clarkson fan… and after way too much time, she’s released a new album. It’s amazing, and it’s playing on repeat these days. You need this album…
And… Angela and I just bought tickets this week to see her in Vegas and to see Britney while we’re there too! So excited!!
