Let’s see. We’ve already talked about the competition that was Rockstar, the amazing venue where the concert was to be held… it seems only appropriate to dedicate a post to the BAND.
My company does a great job securing amazing acts to be the headliner for the Rockstar event, and this year was no exception. In years past, they’ve hired Pitbull, Neon Trees, and last year (OMG) the Midwest are hired my girl Kelly Clarkson! Can you imagine the posts that would have followed that concert???
Well, this year was uh-mazing… and the band was phenomenal.
Our Navy guests introduced the band. So cool to have these guys join us for the event!
Lead vocalist Patrick Monahan led us through an amazing musical event… and he put up with all my coworkers and I being crazy throughout the concert.
He took selfies with his adoring crowd. Yep, that’s me bottom right with Jade… having a blast out there!
He sang all my favorite songs: Calling All Angels, Meet Virginia, and 50 Ways to Say Goodbye.
He invited all the ladies on stage, and let Leslie and I take selfies with the band instead of dancing onstage. We were in the back, by design… but seized the opportunity for sure!
And, despite rejecting me initially (so funny!) agreed to let me take a selfie quick while onstage…
He gave us all a reason to sing and dance, after weeks of preparation for this competition…
And… did I mention he sang “Drops of Jupiter”?? To which I sang non-stop, loudly, and with fireworks going off in the distance? My favorite part of the show for sure!
