Being on the road this week, I’m thinking randomness makes the most sense… GREETINGS from SLC, by the way! Here’s some random updates of some fun I’ve been having…
BLONDE AMBITION
I sort of went blonde this weekend. I didn’t really mean for it to happen… and let me assure you that my blonde is not REALLY blonde, instead a streaky blondish blonde…. but check it out!
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
After months of hearing people talk about it and after seeing the movie make MILLIONS over the past few weeks, I broke down and started reading the Hunger Games this week. Yep, I’m hooked.
HELLO AGAIN, McGRIDDLE
I spotted these guys at SuperTarget a few weeks ago and just had to give them a try. Um… Wow, Delish!
I’m not a big breakfast fan, but I do love some pancakes and sausage… especially when they are in a package that takes 2 minutes to cook and comes in at 230 calories. SCORE!
BOUGHT AN EASTER DRESS THAT I WON’T WEAR FOR EASTER
After I got my hair done this weekend, I be-bopped over to Old Navy to get a few t-shirts for my whirlwind week of travel. I didn’t expect to stumble upon this cutey-cute dress.
Since I’m in the early planning stages of hosting/enjoying a Mexican fiesta on Easter Sunday, I’m thinking that I won’t be wearing this for the holiday. Instead, I’m thinking I can wear it to the office one day, but I need shoe suggestions. My office wears closed-toed shoes only. Nude pump??
KEEP ‘EM TIGHT
Ok, folks… I’m about to give you some GOOD solid advice that I wish I had received before I started doing Couch to 5K. Your workout pants need to be TIGHT at the waist. Those cozy loungy pants you have aren’t going to work. If you wear them, you’re going to find yourself tugging at them and holding onto them and cussing them throughout your workout.
A NEW TWIST ON AN OLD RECIPE
Do you remember the amazing recipe I shared for Orange Beef with Broccoli? The idea of it makes my mouth LITERALLY water… Mmmmm.
Well, tonight, I made a variation on it and exchanged the beef for chicken and the beef broth for chicken broth. It was super-yummy.
I’ll tell you though… if I had to make just one, I’d probably make the beef. It was CRAZY-DELICIOUS. Just the same, the recipe definitely works for chicken, too. You totally can do either!
