Game Day Party Cheese Ball | No Thanks to Cake
This dessert cheese ball was made for a Denver Broncos fan table, but you can easily modify the M&M colors and the cake mix to match your favorite team colors.
- 8 oz. reduced fat cream cheese, at room temperature
- ½ cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 ½ cups Duncan Hines Blue Velvet cake mix, dry
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped M&M candies, orange and blue only
- Vanilla Wafers
- Pretzel Chips
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Add in the blue velvet cake mix, the powdered sugar and the brown sugar. Beat until smooth and combined. Note: If you can’t find the Duncan Hines cake mix, Duff Goldman makes a Blue Suede Cake Mix you can use as well.
Turn the mixture out onto a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap up into a ball and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Chop your M&M’s and place them on a plate or in a shallow dish. Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap. Roll in the M&Ms.
Place on a serving plate and serve with vanilla wafers and pretzel chips.
