It’s that time of month! Time for my incredibly random (yet entertaining) “Currently” post.

CURRENT SCENE FROM THE ROAD

This month was action packed, and I spent a TON of it in the midwest. Detroit, Chicago, and St. Louis, I had a blast in the middle of the country. Chicago was a personal trip (which I need to tell you about soon!), and here’s a picture of the very beautiful Navy Pier from the lake. My friend Laurel took this one… gorgeous.

CURRENT MUSICAL MOMENT

My new favorite thing… is to get in an Uber and take over their tunes. Whether the driver picks the song or me and my girls do, there’s NOTHING more fun than singing in the car. We sang in Vegas. We sang in Chicago. And, here’s a sample of a sing-a-long from Southern California. So so fun…

CURRENT ANNOYANCE

Must we rush summer? I’ve seen messages on Facebook stating how many weeks it was until Christmas, pumpkin spice season, and football season. Summer JUST started… let’s enjoy and savor the most incredible season of the year, y’all!

CURRENT DOUBLEHEADER

Summertime in Colorado is the BEST. Not only is the weather perfection, but there is so much going on ALL. THE. TIME. Saturday was no exception when I paired up with my friend Brandi for a double-header.

We started the day bright and early with Yoga on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

CURRENT HOME IMPROVEMENT EXCITEMENT

I finally found a chair for my new office!!! Yesssssss… last month, I mentioned a recliner at Z Gallerie that I was interested. When I went to sit it in, it was certainly comfortable… but this lovely chaise was in clear view.

I haven’t quite figured out how to accessorize it yet… but it’s here! And, I’m sitting in it right now blogging. It’s super cozy, my back is well supported and I can only imagine how great it would be on a cold snowy day, book in hand, and maybe a glass of wine.

CURRENT LIPSTICK

When I was in Chicago, my friend Laurel needed a new lipstick. Her favorite shade had been discontinued (isn’t that the worst!?) and we went to Macy’s to find a color. She found hers, and I found mine.

The color is by Mac and named Men Love Mystery. It’s purplish and fun… and just what I needed.

CURRENT BREAKFAST INSPIRATION

During my trip to Chicago, we ate at a little neighborhood coffee shop called Baker and Nosh one morning. While the girls said the coffee was top notch, I was too busy talking about the Bacon, Chive, Asiago Scone that I picked up… and thinking about how I could recreate it in a more healthy way. Stay tuned, but here’s the original.

Do you Bitmoji? If not, you should. I mean, how else can you express appropriately that you’re on a boat?? It’s like an emoji, but so much better.

CURRENT FOOTWEAR FIND

It’s SUPER rare that I get dressed up during the week if I’m in town just working from home. Workout clothes have become the norm.

When Sprouts invited me to a session to learn about healthy hydration, I jumped at the opportunity and put together this little outfit.

Still dying over the cuteness associated with the shoes I wore. I found them through one of the fashion bloggers I follow on Instagram (can’t remember who or I’d mention it!) and they turned out to be SUPER cute and SUPER comfy when they arrived from Nordstrom.com. They’re Vince Camuto, and you might need them too…

CURRENT SNACK OBSESSION

I picked up one of Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Protein Bars when I was at the St. Louis airport, and it was INCREDIBLE. I’ve since been shopping locally to find more… These are officially my new favorite bar.
