As I sit down and to write about this weekend, I’m at a little bit of a loss for words. Yes, me…. at a loss for words.
Admittedly, I’ll say that I’ve had some really amazing things happen to me over time. I’ve been a part of many an adventure and I have hands-down the best people in my life. But, I never could have expected this trip… and all that it was. I’m going to try my best to capture the essence of the weekend I just spent in Milwaukee, but know this: It was better than I’m describing and it meant more than the words convey.
A few months back, my friend Jaede had the opportunity to surprise me on behalf of the retailer Kohls. Be sure to click on this link to hear the whole backstory and to see the video Jaede and her husband Greg captured of the reveal. Such a surprise.
Kohls is incredibly committed to its customers and its brand strategy really works toward establishing customer loyalty through programs like its Yes 2 You Rewards program. PS… If you have not signed up for this program, you definitely should. Click here for details.
As part of the Yes 2 Rewards program, Kohls has established a wellness community that I’m a part of – – an amazing group of folks inspiring others all over the country to get healthy, be fit, and pursue their goals. It’s through this community that I was selected for this opportunity along with Vicki Peterman, a Yes2You Rewards community member and quite the inspiring lady!
The Kohls team wanted to create a YES Moment for Vicki and I in regard to our wellness journey: That moment where the only answer is Yes. Yes, I can. Yes, I did that. Yes, I achieved my goal.
With that YES Moment as a goal, the team invited me (and four of my closest friends) to Milwaukee to participate in a weekend full of surprises, pampering, and a VIP day at the Color Run. Seriously, I don’t know how this type of stuff happens to regular people, and I remain in disbelief that it happened to me.
Over the next few days, I’m going to tell you about the Color Run, my YES Moment, the fun we had… and above all, try to put into words how grateful I am for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
To gain a sneak peek at all the fun, follow me here: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. All the ladies who joined me over the weekend also used the hashtag #ColorMeKohls to make it easy to track our posts.
Disclaimer: This weekend and its associated #YESMoment was sponsored by Kohl’s; however, my comments of the trip and Kohl’s programs are based completely upon my personal experience and opinion.
