It’s that time of year again… It’s time to begin Christmas shopping! I know that many of you have already started this process, to which I confess… I’m COMPLETELY JEALOUS!
My list of gifts to buy is quite lengthy this year, and I honestly don’t have any idea what to buy for folks. My precious angel niece and nephew were the easiest of the bunch, and I’ve already purchased their presents. As for the rest of the fam, yeah… I’m completely drawing a blank this year. AND, several of them read NTTC, so even if I had already bought their presents, I wouldn’t share it here and ruin the surprise!
It’s also that time of year when my family starts asking me what I want for Christmas this year. That’s a tough question too, and I’ve started putting together a fun list of gifts that support my healthy lifestyle and will assure 2013 is a continuation of the lifestyle I’ve built over the past two years.

Fitbit Products
I’m a Fitbit Ultra Tracker user today, but I’m thinking I may want to upgrade to the new Fitbit One tracker. Fitbit has released this Fitbit One tracker for $99.00, and also now offers a Fitbit Zip for $59.99. If you are currently not tracking your steps, I can’t even begin to tell you how it can impact your fitness schedule and weight loss program. I almost forgot to mention the Aria scale. I actually have one of these today, so it won’t be on my list. Just the same I LOVE it! It wireless links up to your Fitbit tracker, MyFitnessPal, and tracks your weight loss progression. It also measures weight, BMI, and Body Fat Percentage! Brilliant equipment!
Note: This link is also my ambassador link, which reminds Fitbit that NTTC readers LOVE Fitbit, so please use it when you purchase and shop!
Cookbooks to Support Healthy Eating
Cookbooks are some of my favorite presents to receive! Hungry Girl and Weight Watchers both have a new cookbook out this holiday season. Consider these to be added to your holiday gift list.
Yurbuds Headset
I added Yurbuds to my list this year too. Having a good set of headphones are important, as it’s music and media that keep me going on the treadmill most mornings. I have heard from several bloggers that this pair is especially great for women and are fantastic for any type of physical activity! Beats headphones are also amazing and another recommendation.
Monthly Boxes
This is a fun one! Did you know that you can subscribe to several healthy living companies that will send you a box of goodies every month supporting your weight loss efforts? I feel like many of the ladies out there may have heard of Birch Box, which sends amazing beauty products to your door, but have you heard of these?
PuraVit Body sends you uh-mazing workout clothes each month from some of the top clothing companies like Lululemon, Hard Tail, Nike, etc. I met these guys at Fitbloggin this year, and their products are FANTASTIC! Click here to receive more information about PuraVit Body AND to get 20% off as a NTTC reader!
PS… I just got my first box of their clothes, and I am in LOVE!
Klutch Club sends you a package of products each month that could include protein powders, headphones, snack foods, vitamins, workout videos, etc… each month it’s different, and each month you get to try out a whole new batch of products that can help you get healthier!
New Yoga Gear
There are so many different kinds of yoga gear out there that it was really easy to find a few things to add to my list related to yoga.
Hot Yoga Towel – I plan to try Hot Yoga in the new year, and I’ve heard a towel is helpful to make sure you don’t slip.
Yoga Eye Pillow – I thought this would be great to have, as well. My friends at Asana Studio always provide me with an eye pillow to use, but I think I’d like to have my own to take to class. I loved the lilac color below.
Gift Cards for Clothing
As you lose weight and change sizes, it’s a blessing and a curse. You want to celebrate wildly, but with droopy drawers… it’s hard to enjoy your new size. I asked for gift cards last year, and I’m so glad I did. I was able to add new pants and tops to my wardrobe without having to come up with the cash for the umpteenth time to do so.
This year, I added gift cards to Athleta to my wishlist, as I know that when I have well-fitting (and cute) workout clothes I am more likely to hit the gym.
New Kitchen Tools
I always add a few fun kitchen tools to my Christmas list too. It’s always those things that I’m never going to just purchase, but might be fun to add. Think of adding something that you know will help you to make healthier dishes at home. Maybe new knives or a food processor? New cutting boards for all of those yummy veggies?
This year… I added a few cute cheese servers to the list from CB2.
I’ve also never made my own waffles, so why not start in 2013? I can’t wait to see what I come up with to share with you guys… maybe some peanut butter waffles? Or some gingerbread waffles? Yummmm….
Magazine Subscriptions
Having healthy reading closeby is always helpful for me. While I have many blogs I read that keep me on track, I also like those shiny glossy mags that are full of great tips. Self, Fitness, and Cooking Light are a few I’d recommend, but there’s many out there to choose from!
