Yeah… I look happy here.
In addition to it being a great week, I’m also highly caffeinated and it’s like 8pm at night! Who drinks coffee at night??? Not usually me… unless I’m testing out new at-home Frappuccinos. And how did the testing go?? Uh-Mazing!
If you love your frozen drinks with the green straws, you’ll HAVE to try this recipe. Super-duper easy and made with Starbucks Via. So… it’s practically the same thing, but (ahem) cheaper and you don’t have to leave the house to enjoy it!
The original recipe I found on Pinterest was MUCH heavier on the instant coffee than my version below. I made this a few weeks back and couldn’t finish it as it was WAY too strong. I cut the recipe’s coffee down to about 1/3 of what was recommended and thought it was perfect. Play with it until it’s how you like it… The original also recipe claims to be just 95 calories for the entire batch – – Awesome!
At-Home Skinny Frappuccino
INGREDIENTS
1 pkg. Starbucks Via (Breakfast Blend)
2 Tbsp. sugar-free vanilla flavored coffee creamer, powdered
1/2 cup fat free milk
8-10 ice cubes
1 packet Truvia
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add all ingredients to a blender. Note: SuperTarget had the best selection of the sugar-free creamers. I noticed they had SF hazelnut and SF chocolate too! I started off with the vanilla, but I’ll certainly try the others!
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour it into your favorite glass. Note: I thought this grande-sized Starbucks cup seemed perfect.
Next time I make this recipe, I am going to try to work these guys in. Dazbog in Ft. Collins makes the most delish frozen coffee drink with these bad boys blended in… I was a little caffeine-shy to try them tonight, but stay tuned an at-home Brain Damage to come in the near future!
