On Saturday morning, I visited Jenny Craig pretty sure that I hadn’t lost any weight. I even told Amalia ahead of time not to expect much. While I had worked out SEVERAL times this week (compared to last week’s NO workouts), I didn’t feel good about the potential of weight loss.
I get on my scale pretty often, so it’s not just a HUNCH that I hadn’t lost any… I was pretty sure it was a done deal.
Nonetheless, I went to Jenny and hopped on the scale and this is what I saw:
This Week’s Loss: -0.4 lbs
Total Weight Loss: -82.4 lbs
Yep, that’s THREE weeks in a row. Me and 0.4, we’ve been pretty consistent. Considering that I thought I’d lost NONE, I’ll take it… but it’s a little baffling to think that each week I’m decreasing at such a tiny rate.
I know it’s associated with what I’m eating. My eating hasn’t been perfect by any means… so, I’ll take the loss for what it is!
After I was done with my weigh-in, I began my weekend of boring to-do’s. Now, I say boring because it was things like oil changes and tire rotations and laundry… but in my type-A, Capricorn way, I love getting this type of stuff done. So, it was a SUCCESS!
I found myself doing things I have had on the list for AGES. In addition to the highly-stimulating vehicle maintenance, I also ironed clothes that I haven’t worn since May (because I don’t iron) and did the following:

I read this book, which I absolutely adored. I’ll be reviewing it for you guys over the next few days, so stay tuned!

I hung artwork that has been sitting on the floor of various rooms of my home. Example: The Guest Bathroom (love this piece!)
I did randomly exciting things like mending (since it’s the 1800s), but I feel like my ongoing list of to-do’s has lightened up tremendously. I’ll take it!
On a SUPER positive note, I worked out not once, but TWICE on Sunday… cardio and strength training at the YMCA in the morning and yoga at my studio last night. What an amazing way to end the weekend.
I hope your weekend was MUCH more exciting than mine, my dears… Let’s make this a great week!

Great job!!!! Isn’t it great when you can do two workouts and not be passed out! Your body is getting stronger!
Yes! They were two completely different experiences… one the cardio, and two was more for my mind. Both excellent and both amazing!
I LOVE your wine holders in your dining room picture!!! Where did you get them?
They’re from IKEA. I’ve had them for years… but I think I saw them maybe 6 months ago back on the shelves at IKEA again. Good luck!
Congrats. I weigh in on Mondays. Gulp. Hubby and I are giving your JC Buffalo Chicken Fettucine a go tonight.
Tracy – - Definitely let me know what you think! The buffalo fettuccine was one of my staples! So delish (in my opinion), but I look forward to hearing yours!
Congrats on the weight loss! I’ve been pretty bummed about mine lately. I haven’t lost anything in 3 weeks. The scale hasn’t budged. My nutritionist says that I should just hide the scale from myself. It’s just so hard!
My scale is only showing progress in 0.4 lb increments… not exactly where I’d like to be, but I guess it’s something. They say the last bit is the hardest…
Love this dining room! The chandelier is amazeballs.
My Jenny weekend weigh-in was less than yours, but I will take it… 21 pounds and counting
Awwww… thanks, Cathy! I had to change out the boring chandelier that came with the place! I love when my Jenny folks stop by and say hello! 21 lbs gone is AWESOME!!!
Wow you are doing great!
Thanks, Suzi!!!
Hi Kelly! I just found your blog recently and I am hooked! What a great story, I am so happy for you and supporting your weight loss and healthy living journey! Also, sometimes the “boring” weekends are great too
