I’ve been a huge supporter of Fitbit for a long time now. When my company issued the devices back in November of last year, I wasn’t familiar with the technology… and wasn’t even sure I’d wear the thing.
See… in November, I was pretty sedentary still. I had no idea how many steps I was taking a day and didn’t really have any intention of walking anything extra. And then, I began wearing this guy.
Looking down and seeing that I hadn’t cleared 5,000 steps for the day was VERY eye opening, and when you see that your flower indicator shows that the flower is dying… it’s motivating. Needless to say, this Fitbit helped me get moving. I have my previous company to thank for the introduction, and Fitbit to thank for creating a device that is so easy to use and so incredibly eye-opening!
What is a FitBit Ultra?
FitBit Ultra is a fantastic fitness tracker that tracks so much more than just your steps. It has a super-sensitive 3-D motion sensor that tracks your exact steps taken, calories burned, and distance traveled. It’s recently been upgraded to include an altimeter that also calculates the number of stairs you climb on a given day.
How Big is It?
This is something I love about the FitBit. I’m not looking to advertise my diet on my arm, but I’ll tuck it away on my waistband.
From the FitBit website: Unlike bulky, awkward devices that all but scream, “Look at me, I’m on a diet,” the Fitbit Tracker is light and small enough to wear all day without anyone knowing. In fact, it’s the smallest fitness tracker out there. Tuck it in your pocket, or clip it to your belt or bra, and you’re set.
Online Integration
Also super-helpful for me, the FitBit uploads the steps I take automatically to my Fitbit profile where I can view my steps and view my progress. You can also link up with your friends and “share” your steps as a team. In addition, you can link your account to MyFitnessPal and several other sites for food tracking/activity tracking. FitBit also has an iPhone app for all you iPhone lovers.

Congrats on being asked to be a Fitbit Ambassador! I’m a big fan of the fitbit – having bought my first one when they first came out a couple of years ago. A couple of months ago, my fitbit died and I sat outside of REI waiting for the store to open because I refused to go through the day without my trusty fitbit. My husband has expressed interest in trying it out, so I probably go out and get him one. Or try to win one.
Very cool, Ms. Ambassador!
Love this giveaway! I have been staring at the FitBit for months!
Congratulations on the ambassadorship! Very cool! I’ve heard a bit about these FitBits – it sounds a LOT better than the tiny, inaccurate pedometers my company issued a few years ago. I like the distance tracking! So much easier to understand (for me) than steps taken.
I am SO excited for you!! Congrats!
Why do I want a fitbit? I need accountability and I am a numbers girl…I want to SEE what I have done!
Thanks for hosting!
So, I couldn’t figure out how to answer the question on the entry form so I’ll answer it here. I would like to win the FitBit because I think it sounds like a great fitness tool. It seems sleek, and appears like it would hide well under clothing. I like the sounds of how it integrates with the computer and food tracking websites and I think this is something that could only benefit my journey!
Very cool! Congrats on becoming a FitBit ambassador!!! How exciting!!!
I couldn’t answer the question on the form so just to make sure all my bases are covered…I’d love to win the FitBit because it would bring a whole other level of accountability to my weight loss journey. I love my JC food, and the pedometer but sometimes you need that extra boost to walk a few extra steps or stay away from those M & M’s!
Congrats on becoming a FiBit ambassador – that’s quite an achievement and well deserved!
Congrats on the ambassador gig!! That’s really cool. I’d love to try a FitBit. I’ve been really disappointed with BodyBugg and wish I’d tried this in the first place. Love that it’s tiny!
Congrats on the Ambasador gig, they couldn’t have choose a better person then you. An expert on Marketing! I had been thinking on buying the FitBit just because you had sold me the dream that I can be accountable on my weight loss journey by getting motivated to move more around and how discrete this gadget is. I own a BodyBugg but don’t used it because it’s so uncomfortable to wear on my arm. Maybe I’ll be the lucky winner too!
I couldn’t answer the question on the form so I’ll just post it here..
I just started walking, which is a huge deal to me considering that I’m the kind of person who spends most of her days sitting.. having a FitBit would motivate me to move more and would help me realize how much am I really moving. And it looks so cute.
Do we answer question here??? I think it would be cool to be able to keep track of everything all on the same device.
I could not figure out the form despite many tries, so my answer is that as a working mom of four kids with part time studies and a weight loss goal, I get tired just writing all of that stuff! FitBit would really help me keep on track of everything while on the go, rather than finding time to record activity in a journal or upload it. Thank you!
I also couldn’t figure out the question form and want my bases covered (cuz I really want this fitbit!). I’m a total gadget geek and love things that keep me motivated. I currently have been using the Nike Fuelband and while I like it, it’s so bulky and in the summer when I’m wearing sleeveless shirts and such it’s a behemoth on my wrist and sticks out (and is black to boot!). I went back and forth between the FitBit and the Nike Fuelband and went with the fuelband…while now I’m second guessing that and want to give FitBit a try!
I messed up the answering the question bit, but I too am on jenny, and i tried MM and I hate the armband. The more research I’ve done into fitbit I wish I’d gotten one instead. I love that it syncs wirelessly!!
I have a few friends with these and I love how they set and track daily step goals. Great way to sneak extra workouts into daily activity!
I find it VERY motivating to look down and see that I’m at 5000 steps for the day (on a slow day) and to know that I’m going to need to hit the gym to get the rest before the day is out! I always shoot for at least 10K…
Have a fit bit and love it. Trying to win one for my sister. I lost 28 on Jenny and she is working on losing with weight watchers. Every little “bit” helps!
Julie – - That’s so awesome! I’m also a pretty big advocate for JC, since it’s how I lost most of my weight. The two together (Fitbit + JC) are a winning combination for sure! Thanks for saying hello!
What an awesome opportunity!
I’m REALLY excited, Ashley!
What a fantastic giveaway, and congrats to you! I’d love to have FitBit so that I have something concrete to keep me accountable and track my progress, something that I always have challenges with!
Best of luck… check out the website for sure (fitbit.com) It’s such a fun tool!
I want one to remind me that every step counts and adds up!
Every step does count! Great point!
I am curious about all the data it can collect. Seems awesome.
It’s pretty darn cool. I am amazed how it can analyze your sleep… how does it do that??
I want a fitbit because I am taking part in a six month weight loss journey and need any help I can get. I would love for something to help inspire me to keep going
Best of luck on your weight loss journey! FitBit can be a GREAT tool to help you reach your goal! Trust me, mine’s been invaluable! Good luck!
Answering the question>> Fitbits are a techy goddesses weightloss tool, who wouldn’t want one!
i am a big fun of fitbit and i all away wanted to have one, but i never got a chase to get it. i dont knew if you are still doing in. i would love to win it.
